🤖 Agent × Workflow — The Quick Test

Workflow (vending machine)

Deterministic task, same input → same output. E.g.: "every day at 9 a.m., pull the revenue and post it to Slack". Inexpensive, doesn’t break.

Agent (slot machine)

Messy input, requires reasoning, and generates content. Example: “read these emails and draft replies.” Powerful, more expensive, and riskier.

Always ask: (1) Do I need to trigger this, or does the system do it on its own? (2) does this need AI, or will a simple script do the job?
