Your .skill — "reel edits" Hyperframes — motion engine FFmpeg the basics: cut and render essential FFmpeg + Hyperframes optional (only if needed) Groq · review fal.ai · image Firecrawl · B-roll

The stack nests like Russian dolls: the FFmpeg (middle) cuts and renders, the Hyperframes relies on it for motion, and your .skill involves both. External tools (blue) are optional — they’re included only if your profile needs them.

🚀 Stack and Installation

What to install and why: FFmpeg and Hyperframes (essential), Groq (recommended), the optional tools, and how to load and activate the skill.

What it is:

The tool that does all the video editing and rendering behind the scenes — it’s the foundation of Remotion, which Hyperframes uses. Without it, nothing runs.

Why learn:

It’s the only truly required item in the core; installation varies a little by operating system.

Key concepts:

FFmpeg, rendering, system dependency.

What it is:

The engine that builds the reel’s animations (motion graphics). It runs via npx, with no heavyweight installation.

Why learn:

It’s the second essential component: without it, there’s no motion. One command confirms it’s running.

Key concepts:

Hyperframes, npx, motion graphics.

What it is:

A free, highly recommended service for transcription and review—in practice, the one that “hallucinates” the least on this task. You just need the key in the environment.

Why learn:

Improves caption accuracy and the reviewer at no cost; checking the environment variable prevents silent errors.

Key concepts:

Groq, GROQ_API_KEY, environment variable.

What it is:

Extras that enable features: fal.ai (AI-generated image, paid), Firecrawl (real B-roll from websites, free) and the /watch (visual QC of the frames).

Why learn:

None are required; you install only what your profile calls for—and nothing paid is added without your “yes.”

Key concepts:

fal.ai, Firecrawl, /watch, opt-in.

What it is:

Load the file .skill in Claude — by double-clicking or via Claude → connectors → skills → load skill. The download is in this track.

Why learn:

It’s the step that makes the meta-skill available for you to talk to.

Key concepts:

.skill file, connectors, load skill.

What it is:

Once loaded, you call the meta-skill by typing "Forja Reel" in Claude — preferably with the model Opus, not Sonnet.

Why learn:

The stronger model guides the interview better and makes more consistent identity decisions.

Key concepts:

Activation, Opus, interview.

🧩 Interview, Generate Your Skill, and Make Your First Reel

The 8-block interview, one decision at a time, the opt-in diagnosis, generating the child skill, and the command that runs your first reel.

What it is:

A conversation in 8 blocks: what you edit, how you appear, visual identity, pacing, B-roll, text, delivery, and control.

Why learn:

These answers become your half (the identity) of the child skill.

Key concepts:

Interview, 8 blocks, identity.

What it is:

The skill asks one question at a time, in clear language, and always suggests a recommendation. At the end, everything becomes a perfil.json.

Why learn:

You make decisions without losing your way, even if you don’t know the jargon; or you can simply accept the suggested default.

Key concepts:

Guided decision, recommendation, perfil.json.

What it is:

The skill checks what’s already on your machine and installs only what your profile needs — nothing paid without your approval.

Why learn:

Prevents unnecessary installs and keeps you in control of what gets added.

Key concepts:

Diagnostics, opt-in, minimal dependencies.

What it is:

The skill copies the engine and combines it with your generated identity, creating a new skill: reel-edita-<marca>. It's your editor.

Why learn:

Here the meta-skill does its job—building an editor that looks like you.

Key concepts:

Child skill, engine + identity, generation.

What it is:

With the child skill ready, you call reel edita <caminho do MP4> and the engine does the rest — editing, assembly, captions, SFX, review.

Why learn:

It’s the command that closes the loop: from raw footage to a finished reel, in your style.

Key concepts:

reel edits, file path, first render.

What it is:

If an optional component is missing, the engine doesn't stall: without fal.ai, the cold open comes out without an AI image; without Firecrawl, it uses another supporting element. It always delivers something.

Why learn:

You can start with just the essentials and turn on the extras later, without worrying about breaking anything.

Key concepts:

Graceful degradation, fallback, essentials first.
