✨ Final Polish

The final polish is what separates a good video from an excellent one. It’s the small details that make a difference in how quality is perceived.

Polishing Checklist

🎵
Final audio: Check that the volume is balanced from beginning to end. There should be no sudden spikes or drops. Use CapCut's audio normalizer if needed.
🏁
First frame: The video’s first frame should be visually interesting, since it will serve as the automatic preview on some platforms.
⏱️
Final timing: Trim extra frames from the beginning and end. The video should start immediately (no black screen) and end cleanly after the CTA.
🔤
Spelling: Review every piece of on-screen text. A typo can ruin the credibility of the entire video.
📱
Mobile test: Export a preview version and watch it on your phone. Check that the text is readable and no important elements are cut off.

The “watch it 3 times” rule

Watch the full video 3 times before exporting the final version: 1) focusing on the visuals, 2) focusing on the audio (close your eyes), 3) as a viewer who has never seen the content.

2

📤 Exporting in Multiple Formats

Export the final video in different formats to publish on multiple platforms.

Required exports

Version Aspect ratio Platform Configuration
Main 9:16 or 16:9 TikTok/YouTube 1080p, 30fps, H.264, high quality
Instagram Reels 9:16 Instagram 1080x1920, 30fps, max 90s
Square feed 1:1 Instagram Feed / LinkedIn 1080x1080, 30fps
Portfolio 16:9 Website / portfolio 1080p or 4K, maximum quality

Smart Resize for quick adaptation

If you edited in 9:16 format, use CapCut’s Smart Resize to automatically convert it to 16:9 and 1:1. Review the result, as AI may require small manual adjustments to the framing of text and other elements.

3

🖼️ Creating Thumbnails

Create engaging thumbnails for each platform using the project assets and AI tools.

Quick workflow for a thumbnail

  1. Choose the best image of your project (product hero shot)
  2. Open in Canva with the 1280x720 (YouTube) or 1080x1920 (TikTok) template
  3. Add impactful text: 3-5 words that complement the title
  4. Use contrasting colors: Dark background + light text or vice versa
  5. Add a border/outline: Helps the text stand out against the image
  6. Export as PNG for maximum quality

A/B test thumbnails

Create 2 thumbnail versions and ask your friends: "Which one would you click?" YouTube lets you change the thumbnail later, so track the CTR and change it if needed.

4

📝 Descriptions and Tags

Prepare all the text content that goes with the video post.

Use ChatGPT to generate everything

Gere conteúdo de publicação para um vídeo de [30/60]s que
apresenta [seu produto/serviço].

Preciso de:
1. Título YouTube (max 60 chars, com palavra-chave)
2. Descrição YouTube (2 parágrafos + timestamps + CTA)
3. 15 tags YouTube relevantes
4. Legenda TikTok (engajante, com 3-5 hashtags trending)
5. Legenda Instagram (com emojis, 5-10 hashtags de nicho)
6. Post LinkedIn (tom profissional, 3-4 linhas)

Público-alvo: [descreva]
Palavras-chave principais: [liste]

Save everything in a document

Create a file publicacao.txt in the project folder with all descriptions, tags, and captions ready. That way, when it’s time to publish, you just copy and paste.

5

🚀 Publishing on Platforms

Follow this publishing order to maximize reach and avoid algorithm issues.

Publishing order and checklist

Order Platform Quick Checklist
1 YouTube / YouTube Shorts Title, description, tags, thumbnail, SRT captions, cards
2 TikTok Caption with hashtags, trending sounds (optional), cover image
3 Instagram Reels Caption, hashtags, cover image, share in feed
4 LinkedIn (if applicable) Professional post, square version, company tags

Publishing time

Publish during your audience’s peak hours (usually 5–8 p.m. in Brazil on weekdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on weekends). Use each platform’s built-in scheduling tool to schedule everything at once and publish at the ideal times.

6

📊 Project Self-Assessment

Before considering the project complete, conduct an honest self-assessment to identify your strengths and areas for improvement.

Self-assessment rubric

Criterion Excellent Good Needs improvement
Visual quality High-quality images and videos with a consistent style Good quality, minor inconsistencies Visible artifacts, mixed styles
Voice-over Natural, well-synced, appropriate tone Clear, minor timing issues Robotic or out of sync
Editing Smooth transitions, perfect pacing Functional, with some abrupt transitions Awkward cuts, uneven pacing
Message Clear, persuasive, effective CTA Understandable, could be stronger Confusing or missing a CTA
Overall Impact Looks professional; I’d watch to the end Competent, needs refinement Amateurish, fails to hold attention
