🔬 The 5 dimensions of analysis
Every ad that sells can be broken down into five parts. Learn to look at each one, and you’ll never watch an ad the same way again.
The first line or image that grabs attention. It’s what makes someone stop scrolling the feed.
Without a hook, no one watches the rest. It's the most important part of the entire ad.
"I found a trick..." · a question · a surprising result.
The pace at which scenes and lines follow one another throughout the video.
The right pace keeps people watching until the end. Quick cuts hold their attention; too much slowness loses them.
Frequent cuts · no dead time · pick up the pace at the beginning.
The speaker’s voice and the background music. In UGC, the voice is what builds (or destroys) trust the most.
People forgive poor image quality, but they don’t forgive a bad voice. It’s a pillar of the ad.
Natural voice · current music sound · conversational cadence.
The structure: how the video introduces the problem, shows the solution, and leads to the offer.
The right order naturally leads people to want to buy.
Problem → solution → proof → offer. Always in that order.
CTA is the “call to action”—the “buy now,” “order today,” “click the link.” And where it appears matters.
Without a clear call to action, people may like the video but won't act. The CTA closes the sale.
Direct · just one action · repeated at the end.
A small card where you note the 5 dimensions for each ad: hook, pacing, audio, narrative, CTA.
Taking notes turns "guesswork" into a pattern. After several worksheets, what repeats becomes your formula.
Use the same worksheet for everyone. Compare. Look for what repeats.
🎞️ Frame-by-Frame Analysis and Transcription
How to watch an ad in slow motion—on-screen text, shots, visuals—and how to let AI do the heavy lifting for you.
Look at the ad scene by scene, almost pausing the video, to see every decision that was made.
At normal speed, you just "get a feel for it." Frame by frame, you understand exactly what they did.
Pause · rewind · notice the details that are easy to miss.
The words that appear on the video—captions, highlights, price.
Many people watch without sound. On-screen text is what communicates with them.
Always use captions · highlight the keyword · show the price.
Each “shot” is one piece of a scene: a person speaking, a product in close-up, hands using it.
The right sequence of shots shows the product in a way that makes people want it.
Face · product close-up · result. Vary the shots.
The video's overall "look": colors, lighting, setting (home, street, kitchen).
The right visual style reinforces the UGC feeling that "this is real, it's an everyday person."
Home setting · natural light · no perfect studio.
Transcribe everything the person says in the video—the script, word for word.
With the script in front of you, you can see the structure of the speech and adapt it for your product.
AI transcribes it automatically. You get a ready-to-study script.
You give the AI the video, and it breaks everything down: scene by scene, on-screen text, transcript, and why it works.
What would take an hour to do by hand, AI does in minutes — and in more detail.
Video goes in · full analysis comes out. You decide what to use.
🗂️ Catalog and find the patterns
One ad is an anecdote. Twenty ads reveal a pattern. Learn to catalog them and extract the winning template in your niche.
Gather 15 to 20 winning ads from the same niche and analyze them all using the same worksheet.
With enough examples, coincidences stop being luck and become the niche’s rule.
15-20 ads · same niche · same worksheet.
Count how many times each type of hook, pacing, or CTA appears in your collection.
What appears in 15 out of 20 ads is almost certainly what works.
Count. The most frequent is the most likely winner.
The things winning ads have in common—the “style” the whole niche uses.
These are the commonalities you’ll copy in your own ad.
What's common among winners = the safe path.
For each ad, separate 5 pieces: the hook, the primary text, the headline, the call to action, and the landing page.
Separately, these pieces become a menu you can mix and match to build your ad.
Hook · copy · headline · CTA · landing page. The 5 pieces of the puzzle.
A model script for your niche, built from the common patterns you found.
This template is what you'll give the AI in Track 4 to make your video.
A reusable template. Just swap the product and brand.
The more you analyze and run (50 to 100), the clearer and more reliable the niche's pattern becomes.
It’s work that builds over time: each ad you analyze makes you sharper.
Volume = clarity. The pattern rewards patience.
