1

⏱️ Signal 1: time live

How long the ad has been running. It’s the simplest and most reliable signal: 30+ days is good; 60+ is extremely rare and great. If it lasted that long, it's because it's profitable.

🔑 How to view

The start date ("active since") appears on each ad in the library. Do the math: how many days have passed?

2

📈 Signal 2: High Impressions

Impressions are how many times the ad was shown. A very high number indicates a lot of money invested — and no one invests heavily in a bad ad.

📊 How to use it

Sort ads from highest to lowest impressions. Always start at the top—that’s where the money and brand confidence are.

3

🧬 Signal 3: many variations

Several nearly identical versions of the same ad running at the same time mean the brand found the formula and is getting the most out of it. One of the most reliable signs.

💡 Tip

3 versions may just be a test. 30 nearly identical versions? Winning formula confirmed — that’s the framework to copy.

4

🚀 Signal 4: volume spikes

When a brand releases 15-20 new ads at once across several channels, it's investing heavily. These spikes often mark the birth of a winning campaign.

Clue A

Many new ads at once.

Clue B

In several places at once.

Clue C

All within a short period.

Reading

Major bet = worth monitoring.

5

🧮 Connect the signals

One signal on its own can be misleading. The strength is in seeing several at once in the same ad. This keeps you from copying something that only “looks” good.

✓ Real winner

  • ✓Live for 60 days or more + high impressions + lots of variations.

✗ Pitfall

  • ✗Lots of impressions, but it’s been running for only 4 days and has no variations.
6

🦄 Hunting for the unicorn

The "unicorn" is the ad that has survived 60+ days and brings together several strong signals. It’s the best possible model for you to break down and copy the framework in the next track.

✏️ Exercise

Go back to your search from the previous module. Find 1 ad that combines: running for 30+ days + several variations. This is your first candidate to break down.

✅ Module Summary
