Your 30–60 s short film: from the shot list to the checked final file
Time to put it all together: the edit plan, the sound map, the assembly, the color and the checklist become a short film of 30 to 60 seconds. The page checks the final file, and the project folder keeps what you decided, ready to remake the film in any tool.
Cut first (lesson 3), then the score and the mix (lesson 2), then color (lesson 4), and subtitles and label last. Touching the color before the final cut means doing the work twice.
No generated clips? A film made from the photos in lesson 5 works, or the rehearsal clips repeated with a title card, like the example that passes (32 s). What gets checked is the file.
3. Check and deliver
Export as MP4 H.264 and check below. If your edit plan calls for a 9:16 cut, reframe it by hand (subject in the center) and check that too: the page accepts both formats.
Watch the whole film with headphones, in one sitting, preferably the next day, before you publish.
03 · Check your short film
Choose the final MP4. The page reads the duration and size in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Try it first with the example that passes (the rehearsal short from the first batch) and with the example with an error.
curta.mp4
Choose your video. It is read here in the browser: nothing is uploaded.
04 · Optional: check in the terminal
Only for people who already use a terminal and have ffmpeg installed. In the course folder downloaded from GitHub; for your own file, replace --exemplo with its name (curta.mp4).
$ python3 conferir.py curta --errado; echo "saída: $?"
Ainda não. O que falta:
- O vídeo tem 20,0 s; o pedido é de 30 a 60 s.
- O vídeo é 960×720 (4:3); o pedido é 16:9 / 9:16.

05 · Final practice
Your short film, from plan to file. Generating the shots is up to whatever tool you have; photos and rehearsal clips count too.
Short film · 30 to 60 s checked
2 h
Assemble the short film following your edit plan, with sound, color, subtitles and label, and export it as MP4 H.264. Choose the file in "Check your short film" and save it in the project folder as curta.mp4.
Done when: the page answers OK: [s] s · [w]×[h] · [p], with a duration between 30 and 60 s and a 16:9 or 9:16 format.
Deliverable · the social media version
40 min
Make the second deliverable from your plan (for example, the 9:16 cut reframed by hand) and check that too.
Done when: the page answers OK: … for both versions, each with its own format in the answer.
Folder · the complete project
15 min
Check that the project folder has the plan, the sound map, the color recipe, the checklist, the label and the short film.
Done when: the folder has plano-edicao.txt, mapa-som.txt, cor.txt, checklist.txt, rotulo.txt and curta.mp4, and each .txt passes again in the checker from its lesson.
06 · Generate your plan with dates
Choose when you start and how much time you have per week. The plan lists the exercises from the eight lessons.

07 · Final quiz
Five questions about the whole course. The explanation shows up after each answer.
Question 1 of 5
In what order do you finish the film in the edit?
Correct
Color and subtitles depend on the final cut; working on them earlier means redoing the work. The label goes in at the end, over the finished film.

Question 2 of 5
The page answered "The video is 24.0 s long; the request is 30 to 60 s". What should you do?
Correct
The length comes from the plan: the list adjusts to the length of the film. Codec and format don't change the length of the file.

Question 5 of 5
Why does the project folder stay outside the generation platform?
Correct
The Sora case (app shut down on 04/26/2026) shows that tools disappear. What is yours (decisions and files) stays in your folder.
